  • What is the Discover Niagara Shuttle and why is it free?

    The Discover Niagara Shuttle is an initiative of the Niagara Falls National Heritage area, its stakeholders, partners, supporters and friends. Stakeholders are the primary funding partners of the shuttle and are the ones that make the decision as to whether it is free, or not. Each stakeholder is committed to continue to make the Niagara Falls and Niagara River region areas a premier tourist destination and develop and promote the incredible historic, man made and natural treasures that are ever so present in the region. The stakeholders are the New York Power Authority, Destination Niagara USA, City of Niagara Falls, NY, Niagara University, Niagara Falls USA Development Corporation, New York State Parks, Niagara County, Town of Lewiston, Village of Lewiston, and the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area Niagara Falls.  

  • When does the Discover Niagara Shuttle operate?

    The Discover Niagara Shuttle begins May 27, 2022. 


    Please refer to our schedule page for the finer details regarding timing of our stops.


    For final pickup of the day, you must be at your stop at 5:40pm Sunday-Thursday, and 11:15pm Friday and Saturday. 

  • Do I need a ticket to ride? If so, how much?

    No you don't need a ticket. You simply hop-on and hop-off at your leisure to our designated stops at all the best places to see and experience from Niagara Falls to Old Fort Niagara in historic Youngstown, NY

  • How long between shuttles at each stop?

    The Discover Niagara Shuttle stops roughly every 30 minutes (traffic dependent) during the day, and 40 minutes in the evenings. View our detailed schedule.

  • How long is a full round trip?

    On average, it will take two hours (traffic dependent).

  • How many shuttles are there?

    We have five shuttles for the Falls to the Fort route, one for the Niagara Falls-Lockport Express, and one for the Lockport Loop.

  • How do I know when the shuttle is coming?

    Download the Discover Niagara Shuttle App or visit our tracking page to track the shuttles and view its location. The blue dots are shuttle stops and the green dots show the active shuttles in-transit. 

  • How old do you have to be to ride without a parent, or guardian?

    You must be 18 years old to ride the shuttle without a parent, or guardian. If the rider is underage, but they need to utilize the shuttle to get to work, a special waiver is available for $15.00, but your parent, or guardian must contact our office to fill out a form and have it notarized. The rider will then be given a special pass they can utilize to ride the shuttle. Contact can be made through the contact form on our website. 

  • Can you bring pets on the shuttles?

    We are pet friendly. Good boys and girls are welcome to ride with their owners. 

  • Does the shuttle connect to any other shuttles/trolleys in the area?

    Yes! It sure does. There are two trolleys that also stop at some of our destinations. You can find the trolley icon on the destination pages and you can also see the list below.


    Niagara Falls Scenic Trolley

    Getting around Niagara Falls State Park is fun aboard this vintage-style trolley. This guided trolley gives passengers and overview of the park and connects riders to the Visitor Center, Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist, and Niagara Gorge Discovery Center.     Metro's Niagara Falls Trolley

     This service runs to and from downtown Niagara Falls USA, with stops in Little Italy, Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, and the Niagara Falls Airport. Guests at participating hotels in Niagara Falls ride FREE all day with a Metro Trolley Day Pass obtained at hotel registration desks. Passes must be validated in Niagara County.     Metro's Niagara Falls Trolley stops at the the following Discover Niagara Shuttle destinations: Niagara Falls USA Visitor Center, 3rd & Old Falls Street, 3rd Street Entertainment District, Aquarium of Niagara, Niagara Arts and Cultural Center and Oakwood Cemetery. 

  • Are the shuttles accessible?

    Our shuttles meet ADA standards for accessibility and are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

  • Can I bring a bicycle on the shuttle?

    Our shuttles are equipped with bike racks to safely transport your bike and let you enjoy the ride! Our bike racks can hold up to 3 bikes.

  • Can I bring a stroller on the shuttle?

    Of course you can!
